query. If this is the case ,its worth to notice the tips below. Please notice that
in all of the help pages provided we'll use square brackets [] as a placeholder
for your searching phrases, so [iran and culture] is one searching phrase, while
[iran] and [culture] are two.
Considerables notes
- Every word matters. Generally all the words you put in the search box will
be used.Although there are some exceptions.
- Search is case insensitive. Searching for [IRAN] is the same as searching
[Iran]
- You can search for any phrase. All of punctuations and special characters
can be used for searching in RTpedia ,There is no limitation for searching.
Guidelines for better search
- Keep it simple. If you are looking for a particular place, just enter its
name, or as much of its name as you can recall. If you are looking for a particular
concept , book or person, start with its name. Most searching queries do not require
advanced operators or special syntax.
- Think how the results you are looking for, will be written. A search engine
is not a human, it is a program that relates your searching terms with document
context stored in web site. Use the words that are most likely to appear on the
results of your page. For example, instead of writing [biography of khaje hafez shirazi from birth
to death], write [biography of hafez] or [hafez shirazi], because RTpedia's searching
method is based on term searching and if it finds the word you request, it will
feed you with each and every information available around the world about that.
- Describe what you need with as few terms as possible. Each word you use helps
in reaching to results. if you limit too much, you may miss usefull information
though. The best way is to start with fewer keywords and if you don’t get what you
need, feed additional keywords. For example,[hafez shirazi] is a simple way to find
the poet and it is likely to give better results than the longer [khaje shamssodin
mohammad known as hafez shirazi]
